Our Concept

Our enriched program of lively learning appeals to those who want significantly more than traditional child care or preschool. Crème is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. We offer both full-day and mornings-only programs on a five, three or two-day per week basis for families seeking an added dimension of socialization and personal development for their child. Our programs are developmentally based so children can grow and learn with others who share their abilities.

The cornerstone of Crème de la Crème is its spectacular 21,000 square foot facility, which can accommodate approximately 300 children and is located on approximately three acres of land. The entrance to the center is an elegant lobby featuring elevated ceilings, hand crafted woodwork and a sitting room warmed by a fireplace. The passageway from the lobby to the main facility consists of a small wooden bridge that crosses a flowing streambed containing rocks, plants, and live fish. Across the bridge is the magical and captivating world of Crème de la Crème. The main interior resembles a Victorian Villagescape, residing under a 34 foot translucent skylight, which includes a computer lab, arts & crafts studio, library, dance studio, gymnasium and a mock television studio. The exterior areas include reduced size tennis and basketball courts, a custom designed mini water park and numerous play areas containing an assortment of toys and playground equipment. Extensive security measures are undertaken at each Crème center to ensure the health and safety of every child. During the busiest hours of the day, a uniformed police or security officer monitors the main entrance providing assistance to parents and children. Closed-circuit TV monitors provide continual surveillance of changing area, washrooms, classrooms and other areas. There is a computerized access system to gain entrance into the building.

Crème's educational curriculum is an important attribute of the Crème concept. The curriculum for children from ages two to five years was developed by Crème's staff of early childhood education experts. The Crème curriculum combines learning with fun activities incorporating interactive exercises. In addition, starting at two years of age, children learn a foreign language (Spanish), computer and other subjects.

Crème's well-established operational format is the foundation for delivering premium-quality education and child care services. Crème utilizes standardized, proprietary operating and teaching manuals to ensure strict adherence to policies, procedures and teaching methods. Crème's staffing model allows for a very low overall child-to-staff ratio. This affords each child a higher degree of individual attention than would be received in a typical child care facility. Crème's full-time housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness of the center throughout the day. In addition, Crème's daily progress reports provide parents with information regarding their child's activities, behavior and progress.

The Crème concept offers an exceptional suite of amenities and services, designed to make the child care experience convenient and hassle-free for busy parents. For school aged children, Crème offers an early morning and after-school program with full bus service, as well as a full-time summer camp. Parents may also take advantage of a number of different services for their children such as on-site haircuts and private lessons in activities such as dance, music, Tae Kwon Do and tennis.

Whether your child is outside playing, inside learning or exploring the big world beyond on a field trip, he or she is in the best of hands. Our educational model assures children individualized attention. Moreover, Crème attracts teachers who share our philosophy of experiential education and respect for the child. Our intent is to create a sense of “extended family” for your child, so Crème becomes a “home away from home.”

The presence of primary and specialty teachers sets Crème apart. Your child’s primary teacher is trained for the child’s age level and, for continuity and consistency, stays with him or her throughout the day. Together, teacher and class journey to themed classrooms throughout the facility, where myriad activities and subjects await. Children aren’t stifled by staying in one small area and they are never forced to participate in activities. Crème’s specialty teachers are dedicated to teaching in such areas as computers, foreign language, music and art.

Supporting this total learning experience is a seasoned management team composed of our Executive Director and Directors responsible for Administration, Services, and Curriculum. A staff of teacher’s aides and housekeepers complement our team by changing diapers, cleaning and replenishing supplies. This division of responsibilities allows our teachers to do what they have been trained to do: teach and interact with your child.
